Flights to Monaco

Located on the southern Mediterranean coast of France, Monaco is a small principality with a large tourist economy. With no natural resources to export Monaco relies heavily on tourism. It is a very urban area with mild winters and hot summers.

There is no need to rent a car in Monaco as you can walk to wherever you need to go. Taxis are also available. Public escalators will help you climb some of the cities higher inclines.

There are several must see places in Monaco. Palais Princer is the place to watch the changing of guard which takes place daily. Monaco Ville, where the palace is located is also home to the old citadel and the Monaco harbor.

The famous Casino de Paris is on the east harbor. This grand casino is very lavish with a gold and marble décor. The nearby hotel, Hotel de Paris, is just as lavish. Both are great places to people watch.

The Formula One Grand Prix is held in Monaco. Race fans will be happy to learn they walk the track the race follows.

Restaurants are plentiful and the food is outstanding. You can expect wonderful dishes whether you are in a café or a five star restaurant. A popular eating place is the Café de Paris near the casino.

To get to Monaco you will fly into Nice, France. Upon landing you will be 14 miles from the center of Monaco. Flights from London arrive and depart daily. Once you have landed you may look for the Rapid Cote de Azur buses. These buses run transport between Monaco and the airport. Taxi service is also available. The drive into Monaco will give you a chance to relax and realize you are in one of the world’s loveliest places.
